Front-End Engineer – July 2013 to November 2014, February 2016 – Present
Advisory Board Company – Austin, Texas
Developed the front and back-end of tools for various parts of the company’s Big Data acquisition process. These allowed the services teams to evolve and validate the data models that would be used over time as individual data sources improved their methods. Additionally, these tools managed the procurement of data and correction of errors that could occur in the process. These were built with a variety of architectures and required extensive use of JavaScript, C#/.Net, React, Node, Angular, and SQL.
Developed new content for the flagship product Crimson Continuum of Care, a tool for tracking/assessing physician performance and habits and in turn minimizing patient’s length of stay in the hospital. This has the effect of reducing costs on all sides, benefiting the health of the patient, and providing a way for physicians to evaluate their performance.
- Developed several internal tools that saved days for the implementation team during on-boarding, prevented errors, and provided insight into the progress.
- Maintained and developed new features and analytic views while upgrading the product to work on a cross product internal JavaScript library based on Backbone, JQuery, and Handlebars.
